Thanked: 1Looking for advice for a shave ready 5/8 straight razor (preferably from the UK)
My budget is up to 60 pounds.
Are these any good:
Gold Dollar 208 Carbon Fiber SHAVE READY Cut Throat Straight Razor Barber Salon | eBay
timor hamburg ring cream straight razor - buy straight razors online UK
A lot of UK sites list dovo razors but none have them in stock
Thanks

Avoid buying Gold Dollar razors. They are on the to-be-avoided list of razor brands. As for the Timor, it doesn't look too bad. Good luck.

Welcome vjanda to SRP.
I highly recommend you consider buying your first razor from the classifieds on this site.
Straight Razors - Straight Razor Place Classifieds
There are several "shave ready" razors for sale well within your budget. More than likely if you purchase anywhere else it will require honing which is more expense.
Good luck.

Thanked: 38Gold Dollar is not a good razor, though an experienced honemeister can make it shave ready it's not worth so much money.
New Timor are very difficult to hone and don't keep the edge so long.
I would suggest that you choose a different brand. Dovo best quality is a good shaver and could fit your budget.

Thanked: 1Are there any web sites in the EU that have a decent selection of Dovo razors?
Is Razzoor worth a look:

Have you considered an entry level T.I. ? A little over your budget but an alternative.

I would avoid the Razzoor as well.

Absolutely, Revisor all the way, they come shave ready from the factory and IMO are better than Dovo's & TI's
