Prima Klang
Has anyone got one of these? Apart from the slick-looking handle, these have apparently got super-thin blades and make a musical note when you flick them (full hollow ground also mentioned). Don't know how that makes them shave better, but I am under the impression that a thin blade is better to handle.
Also, I'm surprised they are carbon steel. I would have thought a flagship model from Dovo would have been Stainless Steel.

Thanked: 4942I have a couple of these and have honed many for people. You are correct in that they indeed have a very delicate edge. They do make great shavers. Some people favor a heavier, fuller ground or less delicate blade. It will boil down to personal preference for you as well.
Have fun.

Delicate edges are easier to hone and stiffer edges are more forgiving in case your honing isn't up to par. There are great shaving steels in both carbon and inox, so I'm not surprised to see a flagship in carbon as it's definitely more common.

Thanked: 346Isn't the Prima Klang the Bergischer Lowe without the gold and engraving on it?

Thanked: 4942A delicate edge can be just as stubborn as one that is not full hollow ground when it comes to honing. Every razor has a personality of it's own. I have had many wedges and quarter hollows hone up easier than some very delicate edges.
Have fun.
