Thanked: 480Nub Tail?
This is about as short of a tail as I have seen on a razor. (aside from pictures)
There do not seem to be any marks on the tang, and if there was ever anything on the blade face, its unreadable now. ( I cant tell if its just random scritch marks, or whats left of engraving)
Can anybody offer any insight as to age, or origins?

Thanked: 3164French, the style persisted for quite some time, common when Glen says and up to 1840s, but I have seen even later examples. The straightish horn scales, large rivets and yellowish bone spacers are good indicators of France, together with the rather heavy grind.
Regards,
Neil

Agreed. Definitely French. I have one fairly similar. At one point in the past mine had a tang-stamp, but it was ground off long ago. Yours looks like it also had something etched onto the face of the blade. The regular spacing and slant of the pitting looks an awfully lot like engravers script.
