Default What can you guys tell me about this razor?

Newbie with some questions...I bought this razor for $30 (shipping included) on Etsy. Also, should I get it restored or just professionally honed by someone? If so, how much is it to get it in tip top condition or just professionally honed? Thanks gents!Name: il_570xN.436116026_1ybl.jpg

That's like asking me to fix your car without seeing it. You will need to contact some of the guys in the classified's section & send them clear pics of the razor and tell them what you want done to it. Please do this by PM.

Bismarck is one of my favorite brands. I'd just hone her up and have a go with her. From the photo looks to be in good shape.

Looks good, but there looks like there are some nibbles going back toward the heel. If you hone it yourself I would start at the 1k and move up to smooth those over.. Bismarks are good razors though. looks like you got a good deal.

Have it pro honed as it also has a bit of a frown.

The vintage Bismarks were real good razors. Like everyone said, pro hone is the way to go. See the SRP classifieds 'member services'.

Is this thread in the wrong section? (Just wondering because the razor clubs is pretty cluttered as it is)
