Thanked: 4249Here some information on your Vauzy razor. Louis Vauzy founded the company in 1751 in Thiers France.
The first registration of Vauzy in Thiers was in 1809 according to the Thiers registration office, but they only go back to that year.
The first time the logo on your razor comes up its in 1875, so your French razor is probably from around that time.
The logo is called Lantern of the dead, by the way patience is a virtue!Last edited by Martin103; 03-17-2013 at 05:35 PM.

I'm afraid I can't help you, but I do like the shape of that Vauzy!
Good luck in your hunt for info
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I like the smile on the Vauzy,
give it some TLC and I am sure it will put a smile on you.

Thanked: 21Martin thanks for all the info, she is very rough but not on the shaving edge. My 80 grit paddle on the dremel barely made a dent. Might be one to send out to have professionally restored before I screw it up.
