    Default It has Begun! RAD

Well ladies and gentlemen, I didn't think it would happen, but I believe I've come down with RAD.
The collection has moved up to three with the two new acquisitions over this past week. One being a new 7/8 Hart Steel, satin finish square point with black resin scales. Man is it a beast, I plan on breaking her in tomorrow morning.

The second is a an older razor. Don't know a whole lot about the history so if you have any insight, please fill me in. What I do know is that it is a Thomas Turner and Co. razor, Sheffield. I don't know the year of production, whether or not the scales are original etc. Again, any insight on this one would be awesome. Thanks lads and enjoy the eye candy!

That's not Razor Acquisition Disorder at all. It might be RBD, Rotation Building Disorder or NERD, Need Enough Razors Disorder, but that's all. To qualify for RAD, you have to own at least 30 razors and be spending most of your time and money hunting for more. I have started a group for RAD sufferers. The group does not require money payments. Just bring a pristine 9/8 or larger Wade and Butcher.

Milton here is some history on your Thomas Turner razor. Turner, Thomas & Co - Straight Razor Place Wiki
From the pictures provided i would say the scales are original.

I had gotten three before I had even had my first straight razor shave! So don't feel too bad...

Oh, I've been straight razor shaving for about 2-3 weeks now. Every other day due to time constraints with the military schedule, but the Les ††† Croix is giving me smooth shaves and i've managed to control my nicks to ATG on the mustache area.
The Hart is going to work its way into the rotation tomorrow....

Glad to hear that! I just ordered my 4th one (Hart Steel Not a Replica) and I'm so new at it my technique is still worthless. Shoot, I still haven't even used the 3rd one I got yet! It comforts me to know I'm in good company around here.
