Thanked: 3164Can't find anything much on the company, other than that they were based in Las Angeles, California and that they made a 'hone strop' and carried several makes of razors, some with fancy thumb notches on the tang.
There is also one of the embossing/debossing dies they used, near top right:
Perhaps they were a Barbers supply company? I couldn't find any mention of them in an 1888 Los Angeles Business directory though, so maybe later in the day?
Regards,
Neil

This is real frustrating.
I know I've seen the name before.
Maybe I'm remembering ghostly signage painted on buildings -- I've spent a lot of time in LA -- or maybe I'm remembering the name from a different (and unrelated) context. There are other famous Bouchers from LA. Tons of patents under the name, but mostly in the 1950's for radio equipment.-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.
