    Fine Ring... obviously :-)

I'll be honest, I came into this thread cause I thought it was about bourbon. Off to pour a glass...

I hope someone can help with the info.

I thought that was the answer too, however I cannot find a single shred of anything on Fine Ring as a brand. I thought maybe someone here could shed a slight amount of light on them.

As you know it's a photo from a current auction, reach out to the lister, maybe they can help.
Probably better to have this posted in the "Auction Talk' section.

The tuning fork is Grah & Plumacher's mark - they also made Silver Ring and Blue Diamond razors that carried this mark, and the Gotta 120 which did not have this mark.

The razors are also seen with importer-exporter brands on them, like Norvell-Shapleigh and SR Droescher, but these just carried the brand.

Grah & Plumacher are listed as appearing in the Solingen directories of 1922-25 as being at Solingen-Weyer, and 1939-83 at Bruderstrasse 25.

It seems that another resident of Solingen - Max Breuer - also had this mark, or access to it, in some way:

Interestingly, Max Breuer does not appear in these same razor-maker archives. However, we do find him listed in 1931 in Krautstrasse 19, Solingen-Wald with his occupation noted as 'trader' so he probably was an exporter for Grah & Plumachers products.

    Regards,
    Neil
