    Short answer - yes, steel imported from Sweden (and elsewhere) and processed in Solingen.

    I have a new one and love it. I never can tell one grind from the other, except for a wedge maybe.

    The Dovo 5/8 with the faux tortoise scales was my first razor bought from AOS by my wife. Great razor no problem with scales.
