Thanked: 13245Just a warning...
If you think RAD is bad you really don't wanna deal with RRD (Razor Restoration Disorder)
Looks way better...

Lol I know the feeling... Just had LASIK eye surgery done last year. Best decision of my life. Well, besides getting married, haha.
Haha, Glen. Thanks. Only started straight razor shaving in February and am already now at 6 razors! This is getting out of hand, but I don't care. I think I want to hold back now on the RAD and start learning more about RRD.
Oh lord, I don't have all the money to switch to HAD right now, but I wish I could! I plan on getting more than just my barbers hone once I get a new job and am no longer living off of just my savings. Can't wait to delve into it.

You can never really tell how cleaning up will go.
I just did one razor that looked WASTED, red rust all over, but 600 sandpaper removed 99% instantly. It was all on the surface, very little pitting.
Then I had this other razor that only had one small spot near the edge. Didn't look bad at all. Took the sandpaper to it and that one spot goes almost all the way through the blade. One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
