Picked Up A Thiers Issard 7/8 Today!!
I picked up a Thiers-Issard Eagle Brand 7/8" Extra Wide Blade SR today from the Knife Center. I love it, it feels well balanced and the fit and finish are excellent. The Knife Center is local to me, this could be good or bad depending on how look at it. I sense a habit brewing; I am already scoping out my second blade! I have a few things coming in from Vintage Blade LLC later this week. I am really looking forward to the weekend shave.

My first thought exactly. Maybe to try and help prevent scales from warping? which seems to have been a problem lately...

Thanks guys, I can't wait to use it. More than likely I will need to send it out to get honed, but I am going to try it out this weekend anyway.
