    Congrats on the Ern, a well respected brand. I suspect if both are honed to the same degree you will not find much difference.

    Its arrived today and it does have uneven ware from honing on the toe end. I will try and post a better photo tonight but how much uneven ware at the toe end is to much?

    So as promised pics of it.
    I would really appriciate some comments on the blade re the uneven toe end ware as i know little or nothing about that.

    Are the scales to small to?
    As a lot more of the blade is on show when compared to my Dovo.

    In my opinion, the toe wear is mainly cosmetical and makes the razor a little more difficult to hone. It should have no effect on the shaveability.

    The scales do look small to me too, perhaps they are custom scales. Scales are only too small when the blade sticks out on the other side, so don't worry about that.

    Nice find. I wouldnt worry too much about the "rule" of not buying from Ebay personally. I have bought all of my razors bar one from Ebay and have not had a bad result yet. As long as you keep the buyer beware rule in mind that is.
