TI's are great shavers. I have several and they all shave great though I don't have the one you are considering.

Just be aware of the QC issues many of them have. Mostly concerning the scales and fit and finish.

Yes, I have noticed these issues. And strangely enough, in my experience the higher end TI razors have more QC issues than the entry models.

Definitely buy from someone who knows straight razors and will ensure it is truly shave ready. There are some sellers that claim that TI razors are shave ready out of the box straight from the factory. That could be true for some, but I have seen that it is hit and miss, and you don't want your razor to be in the miss category.

They are very nice looking razors, once well honed they deliver a great shave but they are definitely not shave ready from the factory. I own several high end TI's and they required a lot of work to become shave ready. After I recieved my dorko I was suprised how much more durable the dorko felt in comparison weight wise as are the Dovo brand.. My TI's came in very nice wooden boxes but they move all around inside them and for the money I think the cases could be a lot better/ more secure but that is only in regards to the Wing series. I did speak with the man who honed my razors, he once worked at Dovo and had the opinion that perhaps a lot of the high end razors aren't given a huge amount of attention sharpness wise due to collectors displaying them. Just an opinion though
