Thread: Young razors

Does anyone know if the young company razors are any good?? I am new to this so I can not really tell.

Only those made by Dovo or Thiers-Issard if he sells them. He started out by selling very poor quality razors and in an email to me referred to the members here at SRP as a bunch of elitists!

Well, given what some of us pay for a razor...

My average razor costs about $10. You can get a good vintage piece that will outperform any of his pieces of excrement for half the price he's gouging. If he wants to call me an elitist for that, let him do it, but I won't throw my money away on excrement#2 when I can get the good stuff for less.

My Young razor actually came with a frowning blade for no extra charge.

(For the newbies, this is very bad. The edge should be either straight or curve slightly upward if you hold the razor out with the edge pointing down. A frown curves downward, mimicking the facial expression you'll make after shaving with a Young razor.)

Attempts to correct this made it worse, due partly to my inexperience as a honer.

We've all learned so much, haven't we?

stay away from young razors! They are truely junk.
