    Default New ebay purchase

So i've just broken a newbie rule and bought my second razor of ebay. Form my limited knowledge and research ability I think its a good one. I'll post the discription below and would love comments.

14/16" Straight Razor ERN crown and sword
This is a nice straight razor with a cellulid handle, its in good condition, there are no nicks or splits in the blade, its in good condition, there is SCIENCE in gold wash with REGISTERD TRADE MARK underneath on the blade and it has ERN stamped on one side of the the tang and a CROWN and SWORD trade mark then 3037 MADE IN GERMANY on the otherside, this is a nice razor.

    sellers discription not mine.

When you're writing a post, there's a button at the right of the bar with buttons that says "Insert image" when you mouse-over.

I have two ERN razors and I love both of them. If the razor you bought has little rust, especially close to or on the edge, you should be in for nice shaves

Looks like you did well. Looks like it has a little uneven hone wear on the toe but heck, not bad at all. Will be waiting to hear how it shaves !
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

As far as I can tell, it's an ERN and will be an excellent shaver once it is honed. If you intend to learn honing yourself, buy another, cheap practice razor and have this one honed professionally as a reference. Have fun!

ok great thanks for the advice. Looking forward to it arriving now and getting it honed.
This might be a dumb question but how different a shave might it be to my Dovo Olivewood which is a stainless?
