Thread: Determining revisor age

I recently got this 7/8 revisor and I would line to know the approximate age of it.

Not sure. I've got an old Revisor with C. Fredrich Schmidt on the reverse tang. It also has '97' on the reverse. The mark side has Revisor over Solingen inside a circle. So it is a different layout than yours is. Mine has a metal Revisor emblem inlaid in the scale as well but it doesn't have the worked spine. I think mine is either pre WWII or maybe post war, 1950s but that is just a guess. With that spine work I would think yours is old too. Maybe manah can give you some history or even Thomas, who owns the Revisor plant now.
