    He was a wise man. I think I remember more quotes and teachings of his than any other person from the era.

    Many historical figures have been mythologized to the point that what we now think of them is completely out of whack with what their reality was. But I think Franklin was such a fascinatingly interesting, prolific, brilliant, and just plain cool man that even with all the hype, we still have a way to go before the myth surpasses reality. He was a one-off for sure.

    It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
    This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
