Wade & Butcher FBU
I found this some months ago in an antiques store for $300. I thought too much work for too much money. Just got back to the store today and it was $150. I expressed my concern for the work I need to put into the edge and it went down to $125. A nice lesson in patience. Now to get her shaving. Gonna have to take out the slight frown first.

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

wow $125 for a common razor with deep pitting and frown? prices have gone nuts while I wasn't looking.
In any case you've got your work cut out for you and I think it'll be a good lesson.
Have fun

Thanked: 1263To even out that frown it looks like you may have to hone right into the stabilizer...and then you've got the extensive toe wear to deal with.

Im usually pretty positive about things in general but honestly, this razor will never be a member of the big boys club...... Never. I think anyone supporting this razors purchase at that type 'margin' is the reason every guy with a W&B thinks he's sitting on a c-note or better. Idk when things got this out if hand with the pricing.
I came across a neat W&B extra hollow sway back at a flea market yesterday. Heavy black patina, and a cracked then regroun stabilizer. Couldn't help but ask how much... Guy told me $50.... I chuckled and ghanked him.... He said you know this is a W&B right... This is the one people want!!!!
I showed him a couple pics of my collection and offered him $10... Lol... Needless to say the guy thinks its worth more than $50.... I told him to put it on eBay and maybe he'll get rich!......... Making Old Razors Shine N' Shave, Once Again.

Its a fun experience. The frown is gone. Setting the edge is taking quite a bit of effort. I know it was costly but one has to make mistakes. There is no pitting in the edge so I am happy as it is coming along nicely.

Glad she makes you happy, which is all that counts, but I would have passed on that one at that price myself.
