Thread: request: pictures of shorties

what it says in the title.
I want to look at some well done cut down shorties.
in my quest for a variety of different razors to try out, I picked up a razor today with a broken tip. I'll grind a new tip on it, probably make it about half length. I'm thinking it'll be useful for xtg passes at the upper lip, where i seem to have trouble working around the nostrils. i suspect a grind that gets the spine out of the way will work well there. not too spikey, but not too round.

this razor is about 5/8 or 6/8 , faux ivory broken on one side at the pivot- so I'll shorten that too while I'm at it.

This was a Kropp that I dropped while I was restoring, I chipped a large piece by the stabilizer, so I decide to grind out the stabilizer took a little off the toe to give it a square point, and gave it a Kamisori look with a wooden handle it turned out much better than I thought it would.

Its not exactly a "shorty" it was a fairly good sized razor to start with, and only lost a little off the end. It looked way way better in person too. I kind of regret selling it.

Here an early Geneva Cutlery shorty, a fantastic shaver that i used very often.
