Default Low Son & Haydok(sp) Info?

    Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone has heard of a Low Son and Haydok straight razor, I have an opportunity of getting one but I cant find any info on them. Im not sure if thats exactly what they are called, the stamp looks like that and its advertised as that name, not sure if its Lowson, or Low son and not sure if its Haydok or Haydock. Anyway thanks for the help.

I've never heard of a bad vintage razor, so if it's in good shape and you like it and you are good with the price, I'd say go for it.

I think you are looking at a razor sold by Lawson & Haydon. I found reference to them in a pamphlet printed by the Union League Club of New York in June 1867 where they contributed $10 to the cause. So, we know they were in business after the civil war, probably in New York City. Whether or not you should buy it will depend on its condition and price. If you are happy with both, go for it.
