It's going to be a few weeks yet before I get back home, when I do I'll try and add some pictures to the collection.

Here is one, but some of the etching is gone. It isn't the best picture since its really hard to make out the etching, but its a cornucopia theme. I'm sure someone will have a better example of it.

This one has silver combined with India steel on the spine and a very unique and detailed etching on the blad which was unfortunately lost during restoratation. The razor is one of my best shavers.

One thing to keep in mind here is that blade etchings were sometimes done by the store or company that sold the razors, rather than the manufacturer (in this case, Wade & Butcher).

From this distance of history, there's no real way to know if W & S Butcher customized the etching or if the vendor did. Even where it seems obvious like that big "Lester & Bradley / Auburn, NY" razor in Martin's first post (3rd up from the bottom), the etching may have been done by W&B, it may have been done by Lester & Bradley or it may have been done by a middleman.
