Razor down!!!!!
I had just completed my first against the grain shave (so proud if myself hahaha). And then tragedy strikes. My razor falls and shatters! It's the only straight razor I've ever owned. I have no idea where to start looking for a replacement. HELP!!!

Very sorry to hear about your razor. You got some good recommendations in the post above. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the fall. What exactly shattered? The scales? The blade? Or did the blade separate from the scales? If its a scale issue, there are plenty of members here who can make scales? If its a small chip on the blade, it may be salvageable. Show us some pictures and we may be able to offer advice.

SRD--a excellent recommendation. Of course there are other vendors who advertise here at Straight Razor Place who also sell straight razors.
Wherever you make your purchase, though, make sure that the razor's they sell are honed. That will prevent disappointment about your razor and a poor shave.
All of Straight Razor Design's straight razors are pre-honed.

Too bad to hear about your razor but however it is nice to hear you were successful in doing your first ATG! Well done (The ATG, I mean!
)
As for a replacement, I am sure you will find a very good substitute in Straight Razor Designs web site. Enjoy!The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Thanked: 2Well, that was an attention grabbing headline. Sorry to hear about the loss. As a newbie, I often worry about dropping my razor. I bought my first from SRD, and the service and speed of delivery was outstanding.
