Default Old Pair of Weiss 33 Strand

Here is another intresting thing i picked up. A pair of Weiss 33 strand in real tshell and copper pins. its pre 1843 (i think) and thay have never been used. Seems like the company been around from late 1700's and are stil in business selling surgical instrument and what not in London. Its not often i seen this old razors in condition like this. Thought i would show you guys and maybe more then i have a razor from the same maker, love to see if so.

Wow, love the paddle strop case as well. I may have to construct one o those for my straight. Beautiful set of razors. Can't believe they have gone unused for so long and are in that condition.

Great find and a beautiful set. Hard to believe the blades have not been cleaned and polished a bit. The shank is clean to the pivot and the tangs are black. Again what a beautiful complete set. Enjoy.

    Cheers guys.

No i have not cleaned them. i got them from a 90+ old lady. same thing there i dont thing she restored them . another scary thing is that thay pass hanging hair test out from the woodbox without stropping them witch is pretty cool. thay have minimal honewear witch i think is from when thay set the in the factory thay got a micro bevel aswell.. the black tangs im not sure if thay just didnt polish the tangs back in the days or if its etched or something like that to be black. not patina thats for sure.
