    I would say not really different for stropping. I do a sort of X stroke when I strop whatever the blade profile of the razor. Honing is different in that I do a rolling X or maybe circles at the point, center and heel, but stropping is the same IME. Shaving with them is, IMO, easier than with a straight profile. YMMV.

    I prefer a smiling profile and most of mine are. Stropping requires nothing different, and honing is merely a matter of applying the profile of the blade to the hone.

    Assuming you have at least a 2.5 inch wide strop I would still do a very slight X stroke on the strop to ensure the entire edge makes the same amount of strop contact. A strop is forgiving and flexible at the edge but I think a smiler still needs a bit of help with a slight X stroke.

    There are a couple of things that you should take into account
    Most smiling blade's are near wedges or light grinds which tend to be quieter when shaving and stropping.
    They tend to be heavier in weight
    Because of the curvature of the blade you might have to adjust while detailing mustaches, goatees, and sideburns.

    Hi ECD;
    Strop and shave the same as you would any western type blade. Awesome Sheffield steel. rocarule is correct, these are silent shavers. I like to keep them flat against the skin when making a shave pass.
