Default Measuring the width of a razor blade

When measuring the width of a razor blade, it's clear how to determine the point along the edge that one should measure to but what about along the spine? Is it the top of the dome or the line where the steep slope down begins or what?

Yeah, and what if it's a "worked" back? I guess if you had a brand new razor and knew its size (e.g. 6/8) you could measure from the edge up to find where the top measurement should be taken from. This could be make-specific, though.

Or something like the TI Egyptian Palmwood or your average Swedish frameback, where the spine is half the width of the razor...
