Thread: Razor id help??

Hi there, I have recently acquired this razor and have no idea of the manufacturer, the tang is worn and there are some marks left which looks like part of a circle and the number 34 on one side and made in Germany on the other. It had 'hamburg ring in gold on the blade which probably isn't any help! It's a nice razor and wouldn't mind knowing the manufacturer? Any help would be appreciated!!

I don't think that would be the maker though, I have a few razors with 'hamburg ring' stamped/etched on the blade and they are made by different manufacturers. Thanks for the link though, very interesting.

Looks like the tang stamping has been buffed. If you can find one that has the same profile as the remnant on your blade you might identify it. Other than that, IME razors with 'Hamburg Ring' etched or stamped have been very good shavers.

It looks like a crown & sword I once had come to think of it???
