Hey dave,

do you still use the BBW side of your stone or simple the Coticule?

So last advice guys, I'm about the pull the trigger...Coticule or Combination BBW Coticule?

Is the double bevel more durable than a regular one? Would you personally recommend buying a coticule or a combination? :P

any comments?

Assuming I use Bart's technique and set a double bevel...What happens when the razor no longer reacts to touch ups with plain water?

I'm still split whether to go combination or coticule...

So you would recommend the just the coticule instead?

Do you use Bart's technique of adding a second layer of tape or? I like keeping my razor nice and new so I will add a layer of tape for sure...

haha I did. I'm re-entering the straight razor world after a few months on the dark side (let's not go there) so I have to buy everything again. I kept my DMT 1200 though.

What size stone do you use? And what's your typical routine when honing a razor ( type of slurry, # of strokes etc)
