I wasn't planning on doing it, but just incase the scenario happened to come up one day and there was nothing else.

When I started shaving I was told to have a hot shower, or wash my face with hot water, or use a hot towel, so I've never really considered not doing one of those things.
I actually was watching...

I know it isn't advisable, just just out of curiosity can you use a straight razor with the regular shaving foam/gel you get in a pressurized can from the supermarket/drug store?
