i want to buy a scuttle BUT...what exactly is it for? ive seen some with shallow sides and then holes under to drain. is it used just to soften the soap and load your brush?

im sure almost everybody here has more than one puck that they use on a weekly basis depending on the scent they prefer for that shave session. my question is, where do you store your shaving soaps?...
