I was a little worried when I opened the package... I was expecting smooth leather like my trusty 127's.

Was more wondering why the rough (grain) side would be intended for stropping. Every other strop I've had has the finished/smooth side out.

I received one today.

The smooth/finished side of the leather is ribbed and faces inwards, while the rough side faces out.

That's the opposite of...
