I have no idea what 'vein' it's from but it's a brand new stone from Ardennes.

i tried two razors tonight and felt it on both.

I will get some new paper tomorrow - I will lap with the DMT - its not that old, then do 800 1000 and 2000. see if that helps.

Hiralau - if that has happened - what's the 'treatment' to fix it???

DMT 325, then 2000 grit wet dry and then slurry three times...

still have to shave test tomorrow. I have a smaller bout from Ardennes and its buttery smooth. * I have a small La Veinette that I bought off easy from a fellow in Holland, but it looks like that...

I just took delivery of a new standard coticule from Ardennes.

It feels nice and smooth when I lapped it and then hit it with 2000 grit paper, but when I run a razor over it - holy is it EVER...
