I lapped the stone with the red spot and I'm sure...
I lapped the stone with the red spot and I'm sure it's not a Charnley now because of how soft it is. It's a bit harder than some thuringians I have and smells earthy, I should add that all stones...

Thanks for all the responses. Here are more pictures, it's hard to get the correct lighting but they all have a green color or grey/green to them. I also put a Turkey stone in there for comparison.

Green hones
I've picked up another green sharpening stone and it sure is pretty. While cleaning the box I found it marked with the year 1878 which adds interest. I've taken pictures of it next to my other stones...
