For those of you who want to get the Lee Valley 16 guage escutcheon pins, be aware that their tips are in fact slightly thicker than 1/16.

You 'll have to first clip the tip in order to fit them...

I don't think LV has any of these, but good luck.
ETA: They have 16 gauge escutcheon pins, which should be 1/16" if I'm not mistaken.
