Just tried some isopropyl alcohol with the Livi CrOx crayon, and it seems to disperse it well :)

Use the alcohol sparingly on the cloth.

You can even out the crayon type CrOx applications with a peice of kitchen paper moistened with lighter fuel (I use Ronson).

IIRC Mastro Livi uses a rag wetted with gasoline :)

I have had good success just dusting the felt surface with 0.5 micron CrOx powder; you need to do this in a well ventilated space and it would be wise to wear a dust mask.
