Guilty, That was me. Never even got to shave with it either. I have heard several people including an old barber say they are a great razor. If you find one I say grab it.

how bout we just give the old fella the benefit of the doubt and say that from his experience, his perception is that the ivory scaled razors were superior to his Bakelite razors.:w

Sounds like theres some fun to be had up there if the price is right and your into restoration.

I saw some nice razors in Sydney today. One was a Bengall 7/8 maybe even 8/8, another was an Invicta probably 7/8. What she was asking was way out of my price range though, :cry: seriously...

Well the Gotta was gone, but i did find this Birko. Thats 4 I've found now, in different locations. I'm starting to think there must have been a few Birko's around back in the day.
