I generally use mineral oil, when im honing...due to the fact that it also washes off easy with detergent.

Good questions Sham.
Im thinking any stone that progresses from 4K up to 8k, would work well with the Charnly...im not really sure where Charnley would fit, "grit-wise." I just assume it is >12K.

Mr. Charnley has lost about 1/2 inch off his waist and wants it back. The only solution to his dilema seems to be to glue on another stone, for backing and bring him back up to his sexy, one inch...
