I think others have recommended using long cure two part epoxy glue for glueing the sides together. Good luck.

Are you sure it's not a vein? I have a Coticule with a crack I can feel but I can hone just fine with it as long as I don't hone with an angle parallel to the crack.

With a yellow/pink colour, dark veins and a corner missing a Coticule seems most likely the case. Looks good!
