    Default coticule

Hi I am nearly sure this is a coticule, but is described as a arkansas on the webpage. It is glued on too another stone and size is 150 x 40 mm. I would appreciate your opinions.

sorry about pic pulled off webpage

Sure looks like a coticule to me.

Edit ...... then again ..... the swirly bits in it might be a translucent arkie ? The lighting in the photo might make the stone lighter in the photo than it is in life.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Ask the seller if the stone it is glued to is dark or light. If I'm seeing the bottom layer in the photo (I'm not sure I am), then it appears to be light. If that is the case, it is unlikely that it is a coticule since they were almost universally attached to dark stones such as BBW (Belgian Blue Whetstone) or slate.

With a yellow/pink colour, dark veins and a corner missing a Coticule seems most likely the case. Looks good!

try raizing a slurry if some milky slurry raizes i'm sure you have a coticule.

I think rostfrei was asking if the eBay sellers would have asked for more if they knew they had a coticule on their hands.
