My guess would be LI because of the colour,...
My guess would be LI because of the colour, hardness, flaking and being somewhat translucent.

The instruction using it dry seems more likely...
The instruction using it dry seems more likely meant for a synthetic hone.
Btw why didn't you start a new thread for this hone?
