If you have a "Total Wine" store near you, check for it there. The one here in Tucson has Laga 16 for $69 and the 8 is priced at $70.

Who knows, maybe one day when the kids are grown and moved out, I'll spurge and try Macallan 18 or better yet 21. For now the 12 or 10 in "Fine oak" will suffice. :)

I suppose you're right tc, but in my limited experience I've found just because something cost more doesn't always equate to being better or worth it. I'm just a poor working class guy & $55 will gas...

The only way I would pay that much for shot is to see them pour it from the bottle right in front of me...got to be sure.

Can't seem to be able to watch the football games today, so I thought I would enjoy the weather with Macallan 12 and a cigar.

Let me know what you think once you try it. My brother-in-law let me try his Lagavullin 16 yr old & I liked it but I'm just not ready to drop that much coin on a bottle yet.

Macallan 12 is a very nice scotch indeed, I just finished a bottle of it. For a few dollars more, try the the Macallan 10 year "Fine Oak" it's a bit smoother.

I guess that would be why, I am not a huge fan of peated scotch. Around the house, Johnny Walker Black, Dalmore, or Glenmorangie are the usual suspects. I did enjoy the Yoichi, so maybe it's time...

Nothing too fancy tonight, just Chivas Regal 12 y.o., neat of course.

I do believe that is the only way scotch should be enjoyed, that and with a fine cigar.
