dk: No reason why you could not use sandpaper. Going to lap my second one on sandpaper. As already said, when it is lapped, it should be VERY smooth and stick to the sandpaper with suction.

Anyone else tried this yet. Don't want to be the only one. I have to say though that the more I use this stone the more I like it. It is a very slow cutter, but it does work quicker with a slurry....

Well, it finally turned up. Currently lapping it, which is taking ages because it is so hard (well compaired to my nortons it is anyways). Hope to have it tested later today and will let you know...

Well, just ordered one of these and I hope to give it a good "workout". I only have a Norton 4k/8k, so I should be able to test if it does anything for the edge after the 8k.
