Hard choice, the patina on it does have a nice quality.

I laid mine on a piece of marble and it seemed fine as far as I could see. It didn't look or feel as if the stabilizer was touching at all but I've yet to hone anything so my knowledge is zero.

I picked up a W&B yesterday as well and it has a very similar honing issue at the heal where it's uneven and honed down further than the toe. I wonder if this indicates a problem with the stabilizer...
