Actually, neither can I, lol. I can't even keep them glued onto a base, i.e., nanis. But in this case I would, cause those vintage guys did things for a reason.

I understand your curiosity to remove the stone...
I understand your curiosity to remove the stone from the base, but, like the others, recommend against it. At best, you'll have a stone inferior to the coti, at worst you'll render them both useless....
