Nope it´s a 6/8, like the M K 42. Maybe a hair wider, but it fits nicely in at 12/16 inches.

Thank you! I feel lucky today (again:) ). It´s ivory scales :D, they´re a little thin but in good nick and the blade even centers and is snug in shaving position. Happy happy!!!
