No no no.... It has the maker's name and then...
No no no.... It has the maker's name and then says Sheffield, not Sheffield, England.
I do have one that only says Shaw, so that one is a bit of a mystery. -

That's the one! Knowing that a blade dates prior to 1885 is enough for me.

When it only says "Sheffield"
I recall reading that sometime in the 1880's, England passed a law which required the maker's mark to read "made in England" in addition to the city. So if a blade only reads "Sheffield" then it was...
