    PF'd,
'Not stupid at all. From the description on shavingshop, I got the impression it was an asymetric grind, like the kamisori or microtome. Petrakos kindly corrected my mistaken impression....

That's the one. You're toast. You'll be ruined forever! yes, you'll fuss w/ the edge. You'll forget all about the fussing while basking in nirvanic bliss after a shave.

I blissed out again this morn w/ the 6/8 1/4 grind. 9 mo. w/ this blade and it still makes me giddy about the shave. I have 2 hollow, 2 1/4 grinds, and the stosser wedge. They ARE hard steel,...

I was running off at the keyboard until I noticed the dbl stabilizers. I thought it was the 1/4 grind, which I love. The Williams that heavy Friedmann and a Duck #1 are the only shavers I have that...

I'll bet you love that jungmeister, PlyPal. Several keep calling my name, but the drawer is getting full. You'll probably love that blade the rest of your life. 'Getting some thinning done now to...

    Holli is a prophet

I was looking for a 1/4 grind, and exchanged several emails w/ Holli4pirating, mentioning the wacker. I'll never forget his statement: "if you buy one, you will buy more". (I have 3 now).

    I've...

    +1 I'm with Speckey

That is gorgeous. 'Particularly love that's it's 3-pin. 'Wish more of mine were. The big worked back hollow is, but I wish they all were.

Smooth/sharp. You're likely way further along on riding...

Sigh so many wackers, so little time (and money)

Speckey! Thank you! - I lose hours on the German site. The Antik still calls me. Pay no attention to the screams coming from my wallet.

Maxi, each time I look at that razor, it impresses me. No...

Now you went and did it!

I've never seen that model, and it's really really handsome. It's disturbing. I'm just getting comfy, happy w/ the blades I have, and you had to show me this!

    Where did you get that?

    'Would...

    YES

I cut John slack on the one blade that wasn't shave ready. He jumped through his navel to get it out on about a 12 hr turnaround. 3 blades over a couple months (get the impression I like wacker?). Of...

    Happy Max

    Max, you're gonna love that!

Did you get from the Canadian distributor or John at Shavingshop? Did it come shave ready? or are you going to ride the stones yourself?

I have one close to that...

John, Glad to hear. I don't know if you honed yourself, or who did the edge. I had to re-hone each of mine. 'Very hard steel - can take some time & care, but VERY rewarding.

    There's a Williams...

    What Specky said

    You're gonna love that one.
As Dylan told me when deciding between a couple razors: if you buy one wacker, you're gonna buy more wackers. In the immortal words of Madeleine Caan (blazing saddles):...

Anyone ever use one of the Anno 1890s?

I did a search on the blade, and one result was in the profile of a forum member jhenry. I sent IM asking about the blade.

What I'm curious about is - is the actual shave that good with it? or...

'Makes me very happy to hear, Bones. By all that's right, it should be a winner. I still like the 1/4 hol. a tad better, but the stosser is #2 #3 is harder -between the monster wacker above and the...

    One not posted before

Several have the 1/4 hol. spanish points and the stosser wedge, so no need to post those. 'Would love to hear how Bladerunner likes his wikinger wedge. I'm betting its sweet. Here's a large worked...

One member told me if I bought one Wacker, I'd buy more. He was right. I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.

I'm still working the edge a bit, but the 15/16 round point is showing alot of promise. I think the Antik would be even better for it's more sedate goldwash. That spanish point is handsome and...

Yer gonna love that shave bladerunner

'Just used the old sheffield stosser yesterday, and its just wonderful. JimmyHad mentioned he liked the 6/8 wedge from the 2 razor set more than the 1/4 hollow.

Update on John's take on the tall hollow

As the above post indicates, John thought that 7/8 and taller were more stiff than the smaller full hollows, and more pleasing to those generally sticking to the heavier grinds in the shorter blades....

Thx again to Holli4pirating & JimmyHAD

I've loved the 6/8 1/4-hollow so much, I wanted more. Dylan was right: if you buy a wacker, you'll buy more wackers. 'Just pulled the trigger on the 6/8 stosser wedge and the worked back 15/16...
