I did a search on the blade, and one result was in the profile of a forum member jhenry. I sent IM asking about the blade.

What I'm curious about is - is the actual shave that good with it? or Is the price strictly the pedigree (latest dating supposedly confirmed by the blade museum guys in soligen as 1890 - hence the name), or pride of ownership of the historic blade. The price ($400+) is up there w/ some of the lesser customs from Robert Williams. It seems like something to be duly proud of for it's historic value, but I want to know if the shave is any better than his $250 blades?
