    toff= may equal to upper class in English slang...

    toff= may equal to upper class in English slang and Nobs = Nobility. I got that avatar name (Toff)because of sleuthing machining problems. "The Toff" was a detective in a book series.

    That is a very nice way to put the costume upon an ancient blade. The style and shape of the scales is period ~1790 and high class as would have been coveted by the Toffs and Nobs.
