It probably is. I'm no hone expert so I really had no clue as to what a CF hone would or should look like. Even so, I'm still satisfied with the purchase.

I don't see any translucent parts but yes; the stone is pretty darn hard. The slurry was made buy a dmt, a regular stone could not produce slurry with this stone.

Just got this stone in today. It was listed as a B/G thuri but I'm pretty sure that this is not a thuri.My guess, and it's only a guess, is it's a CF

It measures a bit over 8" by 1 3/4 x 7/8 thick...
