Question for the honers. When I sharpen this, since it is a wedge, wont the patina be taken off the sides of the blade anyway?
I have honed a few hollows, never a wedge.

So I measured it today. It is a full 1" wide and the edge is 3 1/8" long.

I am leaning towards bright and shiny, and a new set of Honey horn scales.
